Skunks
We love skunks. Few animals are as cute, or as stinky, as a skunk. If it wasn't for rabies and the whole "stinky butt spray" thing, no one would mind having them around.
Skunks live in maternal family groups of 1-10 individuals. The males are solitary. Family group territories may overlap to make it seem that there is one large population, but that is not usually the case.
Skunks are one of the few animals in North America that contract and spread rabies, but they seldom get sick from rabies. Only bats are responsible for more human and pet cases of rabies. Often the babies are born with rabies transmitted to them by their mother before they are born. If you have skunks in your area (and most of us do) be sure to keep your pet's rabies vaccines current, and monitor their behavior when they go out at night. That is when skunks are most active and are likely to encounter your pet.
Predator Impact uses special traps that are kid and pet safe. All baits are food grade so that there is never a problem if a kid or pet finds the trap.
We only use tube type, or "spray proof" traps. These traps prevent the skunks from spraying. In addition, they reduce the stress on the skunk. We usually have to wake them up when we get to the release site.
All skunks are released alive and unharmed on our wildlife preserve in rural Nowata County.
We safely remove skunks without them spraying your property. After several years of relocating over 250 skunks, we have never had one spray.
Ask about our 200% satisfaction guarantee. If you aren't completely satisficed, we will return double the number of skunks back to your property!
Contact Predator Impact for a free, no obligation consultation to discuss your skunk situation and options to relocate them.
